Hybrid Object Exhibition (Teaching Project)

I lead 20 students in the development and exhibition of "hybrid objects" through workflows in Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine 5. Using Maya and Substance Painter/Designer I developed a modular kit and texture trim sheets to make our real-world classroom at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute into a virtual exhibition space.
As this was many students' first time using Maya and Unreal Engine, I wanted to streamline and facilitate their experience. I developed blueprint tools and material instances that made the process of populating the virtual space with their assets easy and empowering while maintaining a consistency in quality.
This project was an ongoing collaboration with 20+ users. I designed the Unreal Project with collaboration in mind--populating user folders and user-levels to avoid versioning errors between users. In order to implement this, I managed a Perforce Workspace and led students into its proper use.
